On my Table: Warfighter WWII

Lately, I've been playing through a few games of Warfighter: WWII. Even the base game has a ton of replayability, and that's without even counting any of the more than 70 expansions for the WWII setting. I love a game like Warfighter that is easy to play a few turns of as I have time, and playing solo makes it so much more accessible to play as the opportunity presents itself.

I'll admit, I was skeptical at first about how different each of the nations could truly play, but I've been impressed. Even something as simple as the Americans having a semi-auto rifle as their main weapon, where the British tend to rely on bolt action has a significant impact on how you have to plan your turns. It keeps a lot of variety in the game and makes each decision more interesting.

One thing I've started to really appreciate about Warfighter is how it can reward aggressive play. My natural inclination is to play games slow - eliminate all of the enemies before moving, on, conserve ammo, and avoid injuries. In my last game, I was able to work myself out of a jam by advancing two soldiers into a tile full of hostiles and attacking on full-auto while using up a few cards from the action deck.

We have the newest Warfighter base games in-stock now:

Warfighter WWII: Mediterranean

Warfighter WWII: North Africa
